Hey everyone!
Sorry for the delay in posting, its been crazy up here. Life in YWAM is super busy. I love the activities that we are doing up here and the students. I have developed some amazing friendships and experienced some wicked things.
We spent 5 days in Aspen for the X-games doing ministry. It was awesome, I got to pray for some people and I also had the experience of leading a worship song down town. I sang How He Loves (thanks for teaching me how to play it on guitar Celeste <3). It went really well! One girl i prayed for after complemented me on my singing. It was super encouraging!
While in Aspen we got to see the big events going on but it was honestly super exciting the opportunities we had to minister to people. So awesome! We stayed in churches, sleeping on the floor every night, not so fun on the back. The Sunday morning we went to the church services, I got to share my testimony with the jr. high students. They were all really encouraged by what all of us had to say. My birthday out here was pretty good, missed my family and everyone back home. I got to hang out with some of my close friends out here, although we were driving back from Aspen so I spent some of my birthday in a bus. :-)
God's been doing some amazing things in my life, He's been revealing the things in my life that I need to change and the heart that He has for people. I'm learning to be less selfish, sometimes thats harder than I expected but I asked God to move in my life and bringing maturity where it was needed. He is faithful when we ask, so should I expect anything less? I'm developing a dependence to read my Bible, I sometimes can't put it down. Currently reading through Daniel, its sweet to see how radical God can be. You should read that book if you haven't already, or if your in for a journey in how wicked God is.
Well I'll try to post more often and update ya'll (soooo american!).
P.S. Paid for my whole out reach on Monday! God is sooo good!
Love,
KChoy

Working on Me.
So every day between 8 am and 850 am we have something called Quiet time. This is a time alone with God, where we can listen to worship music, pray, read our bibles, whatever we want. Yesterday one of the staff named April gave me a verse that she had for me. It was Galatians 3:2-4 "Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?"
This was a wake up call for me. I try so hard to be someone I'm not, I try so hard to meet up to expectation that can't be met by my own ability. I have a God who wants to walk it out with me and who made the way for me. I just need to surrender control to him and let him show me how to do it all.
Besides this revelation God has been doing some amazing things here at Eagle rock (the campus we stay in the mountains a few mins away from Denver). I shared my testimony yesterday and it went really well. It was cool to really reflect on where God has taken me and just to imagine where He will take me next. I am so happy to be here and I am more certain this is where God wanted me.
Thank you everyone for your support and love.

Prayer requests:
-For the outreach leaders, that they will have a clear direction where God is taking them and that the preparation would go really well.
-For those who accepted Christ for the first time yesterday, that they will be surrounded by the support they need.
-For protection on the mountain when we all go out on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

First day.
Today was kind of tough. Walking away from everyone was difficult, I couldn't help but cry. I love my family and my friends. I felt extremely encouraged though on the plane that God was going to do some amazing things in my life. That this pain that I am feeling for the distance from everyone is worth the works that he is going to do in my life. I know God has called me to be at YWAM and that I am suppose to move forward. I'll miss everyone and will probably have days where I wish i was back home comfortable and safe, but I know God works in our discomfort and there will be growth in this tough time. Looking forward to it, just hope I have the strength to endure it. <3
